Demanding Justice for the Indigenous Jumma People of the CHT

Jumma Peoples Network United Kingdom was established in 2002. We believe recognition of the inherent dignity, respect and value of the equal and inalienable rights of all human is the way of building peace and freedom.

We declare solidarity with other indigenous people around the world. We share their values, rights and dignity and we express our support for those suffering from discrimination.

Although our activities are mainly dedicated to protesting human rights violations against minorities, particularly indigenous people of the Hill Tracts (Rangamati, Khagrachari and Bandarban) of Bangladesh, we also support other indigenous people who are being denied their rights.

Our campaign is to prevent discrimination and human rights violations against Jumma People. Our aim is to preserve, defend and promote civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights of the indigenous nationalities living in the Hill Tracts and abroad.

We expose human rights violations, tyranny and oppression and demand from the government and other relevant authorities to take action to end such illegal and inhuman practices and bring those perpetrators to justice and to respect International Human Rights laws.

We pursue our objectives by building a network with those individuals and organisations that support and promote human rights and by appealing to governments, international organisations and world leaders to end human rights violations against minorities and indigenous people of Bangladesh.
